I wanted to share this brag with my fellow NAKC members even though we don’t live in Arkansas anymore, we are still members of the club and support the club. Back in January I had nominated one of my dogs I trained for our niece who is an army veteran as her PTSD service dog as the American Humane Hero Dog. In March, Buster was one of 24 dogs out of 174 dogs across the country to go into the first round of public voting. Buster came to us from our local kill shelter not once, but twice given up to them. He was now fully trained as a service dog and was in the voting round for Hero Dog of the Year. After a month of voting, sad to say Buster didn’t make it into the second round of voting. That’s ok, he is our hero dog as he had stopped our niece from taking her life even before the two had even meet face to face. Knowing that Buster was up against dogs that were trained by big name service dog groups like CCI, I was honored to have been a personal dog trainer of Buster.

Thank You,
