Deputy Barney Fife

In January of 2015, Deputy Barney Fife (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) was awarded the  “Therapy Dog Excellent” for over 200 therapy visits. Barney had obtained the title of  “Therapy Dog Advanced” last July with over 100 visits and was the 1st dog in the country to be awarded this title.  Barney has been working with Special Education, 2nd grade and Kindergarten classes in the Cotter School system.  He visits Monroe House and River Lodge both assisted living facilities.  Barney has also worked with Serenity House (a domestic abuse facility) and Hiram Shaddox Geriatic Rehab Center.  He shares love with anyone he sees.  He is a very special ambassador for the dog world. ~ Lynda Dudek
