I will be conducting Canine Good Citizen and Canine Good Citizen Community (Advanced) Saturday June, 6, 2015 at the Flippin Training Center starting at 4 PM. CGC testing will run first and then will set up for the CGCA  (1st test is dogs sitting/lying quietly while handler fills out paperwork) when those evaluations are completed. I will require people to help for crowds, and strange dogs, plus the meet friendly strangers. Per AKC rules, you cannot do both tests at the same time/day, as the CGC must be on record before doing the CGCA or CGCU.

All tests must be performed on leash. For collars, dogs should wear well-fitting buckle or slip collars made of leather, fabric, or chain, or well fitting non-restrictive body harness. Special training collars such as pinch collars, head halters, no-jump harnesses, and electronic collars are not permitted in the CGC test.

Updated information regarding the regulations can be done as follows.

There is no age limit for dogs taking the AKC Community Canine test. However, before taking the test, dogs must have a Canine Good Citizen test on record at AKC.

An CGC Urban test will be offered this coming fall in Mountain Home. More information can be found here.
