The Northwest Arkansas KC shows were memorable for Allan Reznik as one of his dogs launched her class career while another one ended his class career…on the same day. Allan’s homebred Afghan Hound Oriana Eartha Quake went WB and BOW her first time in the ring at 4 years of age, for a 3-pt. major. Eartha is black and brindle, and litter sister to Ch. Oriana Bombay Star, whom many of our members know. This win was especially pleasing as Eartha went to live with co-owner Robin Wilson in Highfill last fall and this was the first time she’d seen him since then. She is a born show girl so all she needed was a bit of practice in the building.
Meanwhile, in Tibetan Spaniels, Allan’s newly acquired silver sable boy, Judo’s A Balanced Spoonful of Fun, won the final point he needed for his championship. At only 18months, Takari has had a stellar class career, winning Best 4 to 6 Month Beginner Puppy at the Tibbie National last year in Topeka, and picking up all his previous points as majors.
It’s also been a busy summer for Allan judging, as he traveled to Minneapolis to do Sweepstakes for the Greater Twin Cities Afghan Hound Club Specialty on August 25, and to Purina Farms in early June to judge Sweepstakes for the Afghan Hound Club of St. Louis Specialty.
